PROP Emergency Housing Relief Fund

Helping neighbors stay housed by providing short‑term support for rent and utilities during times of financial disruption.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Our community is facing rapidly growing uncertainty, and many families are feeling the impact in real ways. PROP is seeing a significant increase in neighbors reaching out for help with rent and utilities — often due to sudden income disruptions tied to current events. Since day one, PROP has been committed to helping families stay safely housed. The Emergency Housing Relief Fund allows us to respond quickly when stability is at risk and other options are limited. This February, we are focused on raising $100,000 to meet the rising need and help neighbors remain in their homes.

How $3,000 Can Stabilize a Neighbor

A contribution of up to $3,000 can help prevent displacement and provide critical breathing room for a household facing housing instability.
Support through the Emergency Housing Relief Fund may cover:

  • Rent for the current month or past‑due balances
  • Utility bills that threaten housing stability
  • Up to three months of assistance while families regain footing

This short‑term support helps families avoid eviction, maintain essential utilities, and work toward longer‑term stability.

Who Qualifies for Support

The PROP Emergency Housing Relief Fund supports households who:

  • Meet PROP income guidelines
  • Have experienced a documented income disruption
  • Are at immediate risk of losing housing
  • Are unable to access other rental assistance programs

All assistance is carefully reviewed and distributed by PROP Case Managers, who prioritize households with the greatest need and urgency. If you are in need of support, please call PROP at 952-937-9120 to speak with a case manager or fill out the application below. Please allow 2-3 business days for a case manager to respond.

What a joy to receive this help! I feel a little more at ease now, thank God and thank you for working on my case. Thank you and the entire team involved.
