Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Before joining the PROP staff, Holly Link had been a part of the PROP community for years as a consistent contributor to the organization. In 2023, when Executive Director Jenifer Loon asked if she would be interested in working part time, it was an obvious answer. “I immediately said yes,” Holly said. It made sense considering Holly’s experience in business, marketing, communication, strategic development and event coordination throughout her career.
As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Holly reaches out to and maintains connections with individuals and local organizations to help further the PROP mission, alongside coordinating PROP events within the community. She also creates marketing materials that help tell PROP’s story, ask for support, and thank current contributors.
The impact of Holly’s role has not gone unnoticed. When she joined the organization, she went straight into coordinating the 2023 Empty Bowls fundraiser, which was the fundraiser’s in-person return after the COVID-19 pandemic. The fundraiser consists of a soup lunch and dinner in which people donate to PROP in exchange for soup. The fundraiser raised $100,000, and this success was able to immediately further PROP’s ability to meet the needs of clients. Additionally, PROP has been able to continue meeting the needs of its increased client base — PROP served over 5,000 people last year, up from 4,000 just a year prior — due to the wide array of individuals and partners that give their time and contributions. “Knowing I had a part in helping that happen makes my heart glow,” Holly shared.
Holly understands how important everyone on the staff is in furthering PROP’s mission. “We are totally reliant upon each other to make sure our clients receive as much support as possible as they strive toward a more secure future,” Holly expressed. She works especially closely with Executive Director Jenifer and PROP’s Director of Development when it comes to sharing PROP’s story.
As she continues to share that story, she hopes the organization grows in order to meet the increased need — in services and in capacity. But she also hopes to continue fostering relationships with the community and inviting others to do good. “PROP began as an organization of neighbors helping neighbors,” Holly shared. “With the help of our entire community, we will continue to meet the increasing need while building an even stronger community together.”
