From Tucson to PROP: A Week of Service, Heart, and Impact
Students from Lifepoint Church in Tucson, Arizona spent a week serving at PROP, making a big impact in just a few days. From packing 60 meal kits to sorting over 600 pounds of macaroni and cheese for summer meals, their energy and dedication helped strengthen our community in meaningful ways.
PROP Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Mary
Meet Mary, a dedicated PROP volunteer of 2.5 years who keeps our produce area running smoothly as an “onion peeler extraordinaire” and “lemon mold detector.” Inspired by the people around her and shaped by her time in the Peace Corps, Mary brings heart, humor, and passion to every shift.

Hunger isn’t always visible—especially in suburban communities. When school ends, many families quietly lose access to reliable meals, forcing small daily adjustments that often go unnoticed. Summer hunger doesn’t always look like we expect, but its impact on children and families is real—and happening right here.

Food Shelf hours, by appointment only, are:
Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:00p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:30am to 1:00pm
