At PROP, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do—and today, we’re excited to introduce you to one of our incredible team members: Mary!
Mary has been volunteering with PROP for the past 2.5 years, bringing dedication, positivity, and a great sense of humor to every shift. You’ll most often find her in the produce area, where she proudly holds the title of onion peeler extraordinaire and lemon mold detector. It’s a job that takes a keen eye and a willingness to roll up your sleeves—and Mary does it all with a smile.
When asked about her favorite part of volunteering, Mary didn’t hesitate:
“The people! All of them.”
From fellow volunteers to PROP staff and the community members we serve, it’s clear that connection and kindness are what make her experience so meaningful.
A fun fact about Mary? She once served in the Peace Corps in Brazil—a testament to her lifelong commitment to service and helping others.
