If you live in Eden Prairie or Chanhassen, and have recently lost your job, had your hours cut, added to your family or feel yourself starting to struggle financially for some other reason, please call us NOW.
For your first visit to use our services, please come no later than one hour before closing, so that we can best serve you. Please contact us with any questions.
We provide food to nourish you and your family and help stretch your budget. You can visit our Food Shelf once per month to receive a five-day supply of food based on the number of people in your household. You can visit our Fresh Choice Market each week for fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, breads and baked goods.
Monthly food orders generally include >>

Macaroni & cheese, rice, or potatoes

FRESH CHOICE MARKET INFORMATION
- Monday – Friday: 9:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.*
- Wednesday Evening: 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
*No walk-ins to the pantry after 12:45 P.M.
- Bring your Picture ID and Proof of Residency for ALL Adults (age 18 or over)
- Utility bill, medical card, mortgage or county statement, a new lease or a Hennepin or Carver County Economic Assistance statement (dated within the last 90 days).
SHORT TERM EMERGENCY FINANCIAL HELP
To help stabilize a crisis, PROP provides short-term financial assistance for:
- Emergency housing payments (rent or mortgage)
- Electric or heat payments
- Prescriptions/short term childcare or Auto Repairs
You will need to show proof of emergency, county or other agency ineligibility, and income verification.

Calls returned within two business days. Eligibility assessed over the phone or an appointment will be scheduled.
SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN, TEENS AND SENIORS
PROP offers many programs supporting children and teens through Summer Food for Kids, Youth Scholarships and Holiday Gift Program.
PROP offers Nutrition Assistance Program, Senior Mobile Food Delivery and Holiday Gift Program for seniors (59+).
School Supplies 2018
Families do not need to register; supplies will be handed out at the school their child will be attending in the fall. NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR SENIORS (NAPS)
To register, call Second Harvest Heartland Food Bank at 651-484-8241. Commodity Supplemental Foods Program (CSFP) is a United States Department of Agriculture nutrition program designed to provide healthy food each month at no cost to low-income seniors 60 years of age and over. NAPS is the name of CSFP in Minnesota. We are a satellite distribution center for this program.
